customer service appreciation week

Last week was Customer Service Appreciation Week!

Customer Service Week is an international celebration of the importance of customer service and of the people who serve and support customers on a daily basis. In 1992 the U.S. Congress proclaimed Customer Service Week a nationally recognized event, celebrated annually during the first full week in October. At Total Transportation and Distribution, we honored our customer service employees who work every day to provide our clients with top-tier support.

When you think about it, each and every person here are ambassadors of customer service in one form or another. When employee’s take pride in their work, customers take notice in a big way. That’s particularly important when you consider that:

  • 89% of consumers have stopped doing business with a company after experiencing poor customer service.
  • 7 out of 10 U.S. consumers say they’ve spent more money to do business with a company that delivers great service.
  • In the U.S., the estimated cost of customers switching due to poor service is $1.6 Trillion!

We owe a lot of our success to the hardworking men and women at Total Transportation and Distribution. It is through their dedicated work that we are able to maintain our record of dependability and success, through a commitment to quality and service.

It’s thanks to our employees’ commitment to quality service that Total Transportation has grown from what was once a fleet size of just two, to now managing more than 150 vehicles. Though we’ve invested heavily in intelligent supply chain solutions and other technological advancements to improve efficiencies, those investments would be wasted if not for our growing, capable employees. To find out more about joining our team, please visit our new jobs portal: https://ttdwest.com/careers/jobs/. We are adding jobs across the industry, from driving jobs to payroll specialists. Job openings range from executive positions and accounting, to dispatch, to driving for Total.

Over the past few months we’ve posted jobs in La Mirada and Rancho Cucamonga, in addition to drivers. Our drivers are the best in the LTL industry, with the skills to work as an individual and as part of a team to meet the level of satisfaction that our customers have come to know us by.

So again, thank you to each and every one of our employees and their contributions in providing our customers with a high level of support, service and excellence! The management team sincerely hopes they enjoyed each treat and gift they received this past week in honor of the service they provide each and every day!
