TTDS History

Good things take time…..Total started in 1989 on the day Ruben Dominguez set his vision as a truck driver to deliver one thing, SERVICE. He made sure he listened to what the needs were of his customers, delivered on time and when the going got tough he stood by his customers to come up with solutions. This was Ruben’s winning strategy and he made it a personal choice to go the extra mile. No text book created this business, it was simply a genuine gesture of entrepreneurship and persistence.

In 1996, Ruben’s son, Guy Dominguez joined his father and is today President of Total Transportation and Distribution and sister company Westset Logistics. Guy brings leadership in accounting and governance in business as the company continues to grow. He started in the warehouse and was given three days to learn the ropes, not only did he do that, but he mastered the business model and has a strategic mindset in creating competitive solutions for Total’s customers.

Guy leads the team and continues the work his father started in maintaining customer satisfaction. The Company has won the trust of many and expanded from 2 trucks to a company today that manages over 90 trucks and is the preferred transportation company for a large packaging supply manufacturer.

Total services Southern California businesses for same day and next day deliveries, from San Diego to Santa Barbara and everything in between.

A Message From Our President

First of all, thank you for taking the time to review our website. The business has come a long way and I have only to thank our very loyal customers and staff who have stuck with us for a long time. As everyone knows, the transportation business is fairly competitive and often the challenge is meeting the needs of every single customer for the right value. The investment I make personally is in the everyday operational issues to make sure each customer receives value for their investment with us. Each and every transaction is monitored and every person is held accountable. With our state of the art Transportation Management System (TMS), we provide full real time booking, tracking and payment visibility for our customers. Our locations in Southern California offer great advantages as we are strategically positioned not too far from the Port of Long Beach and geographically located in between Los Angeles County and Orange County.

My vision for the business is not only growth, but growth without compromising the quality of service we provide today. Each customer service representative, delivery driver and routing specialist endeavours to provide excellence in service.

Respectfully,
Guy Dominguez
